Dr. Suellen Syler, DVM
Veterinarian | Texas A&M University, Class of 1990
A native of Athens, Texas, Dr. Suellen Syler graduated from Texas A&M University in 1990 and has been practicing veterinary medicine in her hometown ever since. The profession runs in the family—her father was a veterinarian, and although she once considered other paths, her parents lovingly steered her back.
Dr. Syler has a special interest in ophthalmology and internal medicine. She enjoys the challenge of complex diagnostic cases and providing long-term care for her patients.
Outside of work, she enjoys bicycling, weight training, cooking, wine tasting, dancing, and traveling. Sundays are often reserved for champagne brunch with her husband—who proudly claims they run “the best restaurant in town.”
Dr. Syler shares her home with Emmie the wire-haired Dachshund and a lively crew of cats: Pete, Paddy, Chester, Tonto, and Wilcox (a.k.a. “Trouble”).
She brings warmth, humor, and decades of experience to every appointment.
