The team at Syler Veterinary Clinic is comprised of highly trained and experienced animal health professionals who have a genuine love for working with pets. Our staff treats every patient with the highest quality of medical care as well as a gentle touch.
Dr. Syler was born & raised in Athens, TX.
Her father, Dr. Jim Syler, founded Syler Veterinary Clinic in 1963.
Dr. Syler graduated from Athens High School in 1983. She earned a bachelors of science from Texas A&M in 1988 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1990.
She started practicing veterinary medicine at Syler Veterinary Clinic on June 1, 1990.
She has 3 sons, Alex, Ben & Luke. They have 2 dogs: Mollie, a Westie mix & Delilah, an American Bulldog mix; 3 cats: Zacchaeus, Levi and Figaro & 1 Ball Python: Monty.
Dr. Syler is happy to be carrying on her father’s legacy by continuing to provide quality veterinary care in the building he built in 1967.
She recently finished a major remodel in order to serve her clients & patients in the best possible way.
Dr. Syler is a member of: Henderson County A&M club, Athens Bicycle Club, USAT, East Texas Triathletes, ETVMA, AVMA, TVMA, Cain Center Board of Directors.
Stephanie has worked at Syler Veterinary Clinic since November 1997.
Her life is always centered around God, family and animals. Her life is simple in the most complex way.
Stephanie lives in Powell, TX with her husband of many years. She loves country living. She has 2 dogs, 4 cats, 2 horses and several goats & cattle.
She and her husband love to ride horses and tend to the livestock.
Stephanie has been a member of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association (TVMA) since 1993.
She graduated from Cedar Valley College in Lancaster, TX, with a degree in Veterinary Technology in 1993.
She became a Certified Registered Veterinary Technician in 1993.
She graduated from Navarro College in Corsicana, TX with an Associates of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice in 2009.
Angie was born in Houston, TX. When she was about 5 years old, her family moved to Grand Prairie, TX.
She graduated from Grand Prairie High School in 1993. She moved to Athens, TX in 1995 & she has been living there ever since.
She started working at Syler Veterinary Clinic July 14, 1998.
She has always loved animals & enjoys doing whatever she can to help them.
She currently has 2 dogs: Georgie, a Dachshund mix & Theodore, a Schnauzer; and 4 cats: Runway, Chopper, Lucy and Ethel.
Her life revolves around her animals. She enjoys spending time at home with her 4 legged babies.
She also enjoys NASCAR and has been going to the races at Texas Motor Speedway since 2000.
Mary was born & raised in Houston, TX
She majored in Art History at Sam Houston State University.
She moved to East Texas for the health of her dogs & horses.
Mary is an artist, equestrian and private pilot. She loves spending quiet time with her 85 pound co-pilot, Buddy. “He is a big slobbery bundle of joy!”
Mary started working at Syler Veterinary Clinic in July 2011. Her passion is caring for the creatures God gave us.
Brandi was born and raised in Eustace, TX.
She graduated from Eustace High School in 2009. She always knew she wanted to work with animals.
She graduated from Cedar Valley College with a degree in Veterinary Technology in 2012 and became an R.V.T.
She started working at Syler Veterinary Clinic in November 2012. She has 3 dogs, Phoebe, Abby and Sadie.
She has horses and a few cows. Her hobbies are Rodeo, anything to do with horses, and spending time with friends and family.
